random act of kindness

Have you ever done all good. You know that special something that gave you the warm and fuzzy feeling inside. That thing that was done just because you wanted to do it, not because you wanted anything in return. The only thing in return you received was the goodness you gave to someone else.

I did that. I did that on my mum's five year anniversary. I put the sunshine into someone's life. I took some pain away from a lady I look up to. I put a spin in her dance.

Most of all I put a spin in her daughter's dance.

Today I received a letter with thanks from a special, loving school. A letter from the principal. I gave little people comfort. I put sunshine in their parent's lives.

I believe that you get what you give, and the warm, loving feeling I received on my mum's anniversary was all I needed. To receive the letter is more to me than thanks.

On the 12th August 2006 I lost my mum. On the 12th August 2011 I bought an air conditioning system for a classroom at Para Meadows Special School. A random act of kindness.

Last week, I forgot my purse when I went for my morning coffee. The owner told me to pay with love. Another customer overheard the conversation, and once she had left, I was told she had bought my morning coffee.

A random act of kindness.

It does not have to be an air conditioning system. To give kindness with the expectation of nothing in return is a beautiful gift.
